About GregD

I am a small business owner that has just missed a direct deposit (somehow) and has been living check to check. I have 2 boys that I pay child support for and spend time as their soccer coach. I have to pay Child Support to someone that makes 8x's as much as I do. She is remarried and for the most part is OK as long as I get caught up. My job helps other businesses save money and I have just been released from a non-compete. In those 2 hellish years, I've created a lot of debt due to not being able to completely do my business. Those days are behind me now but I am not in a position to hire any people much less support myself. I have done a lot of labor jobs, etc. trying to sustain my business and currently there is nothing available. I have been living by getting a residual 2x's a month from business that I have done the last 2 years but if someone doesn;'t pay on time, my life turns upside down. This is the 2nd time that has happened. I just want some breathing room to gain more clients and get to a point where I can help some people by hiring them to do what I do which is save commercial accounts lots of money each year. If I could afford a website (I lost mine) like the one I can get designed I will also help residents in the state of Texas too. Please help if you can. I have $4.00 until the 15th and will not be getting a big check then either. My next decent check is on the 15th of Sept. and I don't know how I'll make it til then. Thanks for listening.

About goodbusiness

Hello,  I honestly don't know what to say, except that I have had some very bad luck.  I own my own business and it has done modestly well, however, five years ago I refinanced my home to finance my business and got one of those great (NOT) adjustable rate mortgages.  Long story short, the payments got too high and I lost my home in January and because I have a son and a daughter, I found that I could not rent a 2 bedroom, I had to get 3.  So, I am just really behind on EVERYTHING.  I owe water, utilities and cable from the old house.  I got a judgement filed against me for an old medical bill, I have a pile of bills on my desk.  I have considered closing the business but I believe that if I can just get over this hump, I can continue on and be very prosperous.  I don't know why, but this really hit me by surprise.  I am usually really good with running things, but this has just overwhelmed me and my kids.  We are doing all we can to keep our heads above water and just need a little help.  I am an extremely hard worker, sometimes working up to 17 hours a day and 7 days a week.  I dedicate myself to everything that I start.  I LOVE my children and I LOVE life and I am NOT going to let this dark chapter in my life take over, I will overcome.  THANK YOU!

I just want a break to get ahead

My whole life is one big mess after another. I don't drink. I don't do drugs. In don't hurt others. I don't even smoke. So why is everything always so screwed up? When things start looking good I get laid off. Every time. I married someone who doesn't care to support his family so now I'm trying to get divorced. The state won't help me get divorced so I'm on my on to get a lawyer. Unfortunately, I can't afford one.

I worked in high tech for 20 years, but because I was essentially a single mom every dime I made went into raising the kids and daycare. Now I'm just finding out I have some issues with ADHD and SAD yet I'm too embarrassed to publicly ask for help from my therapist so here I sit. Not many understand that, and I don't really understand it either, but it's a hinderance. I used to be really good at my job and school because I tried so diligently but then something snapped to where I can't concentrate or even do simple math. Well, I've never really been able to do simple math without a calculator, but now I can't even remember the formulas to put in.

Yes, I've tried to get a job. I apply for just about anything that I can. I haven't had a full time job in 6 years yet since I've become this big, depressed mess I doubt if anyone is going to look at me twice. And who would? My credit is beyond repair and after a few things that I really do not want to discuss here openly on the board, I'm a mental wreck.

Where do I go? I have to support my family and pay the bills. I'm in financial ruin at the moment. My car is going to die any time. I owe money like crazy because in order to stay afloat I pay one thing to hold off collection if possible or disconnection and then it makes me late in everything else. I'm tired, too. So tired of dealing with it all that it mentally and physically exhausts me. No, I'm not going to do anything crazy because I know there's always hope, but it's hard to put on thick skin and let your kids see the better side when you're suffering.

I start a new job today that will hopefully last because it seems basic to do without a lot of math. It pays almost nothing and it will be a long time before I even catch up so any kind of help just putting off the bill collectors, the disconnections, and getting nice school clothes for my kids will help tremendously.

I also own a business that I might lose soon if I can't pull myself out of the hole. It's paying for itself now, but not for my time and I'm scared that all my hard work will be for nothing. I can't handle the embarrassment of failure. I can't get a loan for it for extra spending cash because of my credit yet it's my dream.

Please someone help get me ahead somehow. Tell me what to do, where to go. My kids are counting on me.

Thank you.

Where do I turn?

I need help to reorganize my financial status.

Hi,

My name is Kristi and I need to make a fresh financial start.  Last year my Grandmother lived with my husband and me for the last eight months of her life.  She had Alzheimer's and we were her care givers.  During this time, I lost touch with things and let some really important things slip my mind.  We own a small business in the town that we live in and when she moved in with us I started working from home.  I made some errors financially that has now left us in a real bind that I can not seem to get us out of.  My husband and I work hard and I am trying desperately to reorganize so we can begin our life again without the huge strain of financial distress that I have caused my family by letting myself get out of touch with reality while my Grandmother was with us.  Any help would be appreciated and once I get back on my feet, I vow to continue visiting this site helping others in my position.  I am in need of $8700.00 to catch up and get my head above the water so I can get back on track.  If financial help is not available then pray will be much appreciated.

Thank you for the time you took to read this.  God says that I can do all things through Christ which strengthens me.  I feel that he lead me to this site.  God Bless you all.

Kristi

I am 36 years old and have found myself in quite a mess.  My husband and I own and operate a small business in the town that we live in.  We have done well, but due to some errors that I have made while being away from the office caring for my Grandmother with Alzheimer's  we are in need of help to get our finances reorganized.

We are believers in God and know that he will get us through this time in our life.  I feel he lead me to this site for help and where I one day can help someone in the same situation I am in now.  If you are unable to help financially a prayer would be much appreciated.

Thank you for taking the time to read this and may God Bless you and your family.

I left my ten year career in government in late 2005.  I've spent the last few years building my company, marketing, and all the fun stuff that comes along with business start-up.

I grew up showing Arabian horses and spent several years developing a TV series around the show horses.  Trying to get a door to open with a network without signing your ideas away is ALMOST IMPOSSIBLE unless you have money.  In July of 2006, I changed my format and started sharing show footage on YouTube and other video sites for horse owners/fans/etc to enjoy for free.  I AM THE NUMBER ONE ARABIAN HORSE SHOW result on all major video search engines!

I enter 2007, with a unknown outlook on the future of   Dream Maker Entertainment.  I have over 100,000 but my finances are depleted.  I'm looking for advertisers, sponsors, and or investors.

HELP ME I NEED EYE SURGERY

My name is Bill, and I need your help. I have been a small business owner virtually all of my working life. In the last three years, my health has begun to decline. I am currently taking medications to control diabetes and hypertension. The diabetes has resulted in severe damage to my eyes. At present, I am the owner of a ground transportation service (started two years ago), so these conditions are impeding my ability to earn a living. The number of hours that I am able to work and the distances that I am able to travel have been drastically reduced.

I am in desperate need of retinal surgery to save my left eye from removal (the retina has become detached), to remove cataracts from my right and left eye and to remove fluid from my right eye. I am slowly losing my sight. Prescriptions for eye glasses have been to no avail. If these problems are not corrected, it will result in my total blindness.

Because I am self employed, I do not have health insurance and any insurance acquired at this time would not cover my pre-existing conditions.
The entire procedure, including hospitalization and recovery will cost around $15,000. Therefore, I am requesting that everyone who reads this page and is able and willing to do so, donate at least $2.00 toward the cost of my operation.

PLEASE HELP ME SAVE MY EYESIGHT!!!

In dire need

Anyone there?

I have worked diligently at the same job for 18 years, after spending four years in the Army.  I started a business as a way of providing a better life for my family and myself while still working my full-time job.  I've placed others interests above mine and this is a way of continuing to do that.  This may seem like a self-serving, beggers way of tackling a problem but, believe me, I've worked my ass off to make things work only to be hurt in a business venture that now affects my entire life and possible outcomes.  I don't judge otehrs and hopefully, won't be judged by others by doing this.  Again, as a result of someone taking advantage (my fault, their fault, nobodys fault) of me, I am desperately trying to salvage a business and life for my family without burdening others

Small Business Grants (Help!!!)

Hi, I am a small landscaping company based in Salem, Oregon. I was hoping to find some information on government grants to expand the business. I am currently operating the business with my business partner and no employees. I would like to upgrade to commercial quality equipment, a more reliable pickup, and  some information on solictation ideas. I would greatly appreciate any information regarding these topics.
                                                                                                                                              Sincerely,

Ballet School Owner In Need of More Space

At the age of fifteen, I began teaching ballet through the local health club. I considered it a temporary job until I would go away to college or pursue a career as a professional dancer. After two years, I had about twenty students. Some were at the health club and other classes were taught in the homes of some of the students. I went to work under the Department of Parks and Recreation, which gave me access to school gyms and the community center, but within another two years, even that was not big enough to contain my growing classes. I needed my own studio. I was able to rent a studio apartment-type room in the upstairs of a building that had been built in 1906, and had once been condemmed. The room is probably the only room in town large enough to accommodate a dance studio. It needed a lot of work, and my family and friends helped me to remodel it, and I was able to borrow money to buy the dance floor, barre and mirrors I needed.

The Prosser School of Ballet is going into its third year, and we are bursting at the seams again. This fall, I will be teaching at least 17 classes per week, and I expect the number of students to reach 100 this year. I would love to expand more, but there are just not enough hours in the day to teach as many classes as I would like to teach. While the studio is doing quite well for itself financially, I have still not been able to pay off my loans. Last year, I was very ill, and my medical insurance did not come through for me, so I am still paying hospital and doctor bills.

My dream would be to build a school with multiple studio rooms, so that I could hire another teacher and run some classes simultaneously. I would also be able to offer other forms of dance. Unfortunately, with my current bills, I could not afford to do such a thing, and yet I cannot expand any further in my current studio.

We stay fairly busy throughout the year. We perform an annual production of The Nutcracker as well as a Spring Recital. I also direct a small worship dance performing group called "The Corps", which usually runs for a few months out of each year. The weekly class consists of a bible lesson and rehearsal for our original production, "Let There Be Light". During the summer months, I teach week-long day camps for the students, ranging from a two-hour fun and games ballet class for the little ones, to a six-hour intensive for the teens.

My relationship with my students is very important to me. Some of them spend two or three days out of the week in class, and as their teacher, I know I have great influence over them, whether I want to or not! It is my intention to set an example for them, and to teach them not only about ballet, but about confidence in themselves, and to encourage positive attitudes toward their classmates and their parents. Some of my teen students often talk with me about decisions they need to make about school and activities, or about struggles with their family. I am very humbled with the knowledge that this is much more than a job.

I am seeking a grant to enable me to build my dream ballet school, in order to create a wonderful environment for my students to learn, and to enable me to keep a sane schedule so that I do not burn out. I have seen too many dance instructors grow weary of the long hours and emotionally heavy work involved in their job, and they end up becoming more of a detriment than a help to their students. It is my hope that I will not allow that to happen in my school.

Need help finding capital for new Business

Need some sort of funding and/or capital to start our business.  No problem staying in business, just need funding to get started.  It would be to start up a Flag Car business which is a poptenial multi-million dollar business.  We are hard workers and know we can make a go of it and have been in the business for several years, but working for other people.  Our credit though, is not so good, but if anyone would consider a loan, there would be no problem paying it off within 5 years or less. We need $100,000 but would settle for half that to start with.  Would just take us longer to get where we want to be.  Have tried everything to get the capital but without success, hence this ad.  If anyone can help, please email us, thanks.

Small Vinyl Graphics Business Needs Financial Assistance

After taking over my father's small business (he passed away in 2002), I found out you need money to make money. The business is vinyl graphics. The competition in this area is brutal and I can't seem to catch a break.  I have many skills and am sure with the right financial backing, I can make a marginal success of it. I am in dire need of financial assistance.  The business is always in the red and I do not have the financial resources to invest more into to it.  I need newer, more up-to-date equipment, software and a solid cash flow to be able to hire help.
